Noticed that you do not have these available anymore. Is this just temporary or are they discontinued? If temporary, when do you anticipate getting more in? Do you know what your price is for these?

Also, wanted to get an idea from you about the difference optically between the 8X42s and the 7X42s. Any other significant differences? What about the difference in weight?

Hi

They have been discontinued by Bushnell and we do not expect to see them, again. In terms of detail, not a significant difference between a 7x and 8x, but the 7x will have a wider filed of view.

Noticed that Bushnell Discoverers 8X42 were available on your Shoptics.com site. Is this the same as optics.planet?

According to the specs Bushnell's specs on both of these, they both have the same field of view. How can that be??

Bottom line for me now is what is the real difference between the two? If it's only the difference in magnification between a 7x and 8x what is does this translate to in practical optical terms?

Joanie - Also, based on the unavailability of the 8x42 Discoverers which were among your very favorites for the price, how would you rate the 7x42s in the same comparisons? Are these 'just as good' as the 8x42s and would they also be among your favorites?

If not, what are the other 8x42s that you would select that are above the rest of the pack in the price range of the Discoverers?

Hi

Sure, not enough difference between a 7x and 8x. Same bino, otherwise.
