I have heard that Meade has a lot of quality Control issues with the ETX and that I am better off going with the similar Celstron. Any fact behind this ?? Or is someone trying to sell the Celestron.
Also he said that the alignment process was easier with the Celestron. |

Hi
That depends on the model of ETX. There is a world of difference between the ETX-60, 70, 80 on one hand and the ETX-90, 105 and 125 on the other. The ETX-90 and larger is a much better quality scope, optically, with a much better mount and computer than the smaller ETXs. A Celestron Nexstar 4SE or 5SE is certainly a good alternative, but I would not necessarily jump to the conclusion that they are better scopes, overall. Need to get down to specifics, as always. Some things I like about both. _________________ Thanks for posting with us
