Protective filters

Will a standard 72mm protective threaded filter fit a Kowa 663 or do i need a kowa filter.

Hi

The Kowa uses standard filter thread, so you do not have to buy a Kowa filter, though the Kowa filter is as good as a filter gets in terms of quality.
