Does a 30 mm scope tube allow more available light than a 1'' in the Leupold VX III ? Is it worth the price difference?

Hi,

In the VX-III line, there is no difference in brightness between a 30mm and 1" tube. They both use the same 1" optical system. The extra room in the 30mm tube of the Long Range VX-III riflescopes is to allow for additional elevation and windage adjustments to help with the longer range shots.
