Howdy, to you all BGH:

I'll be looking for opinion on usability of this kit, how well is serves in the rain/fog conditions and so forth.

I am just waiting for my order of VX III 3.5-10 40mm with Tactical Milling Reticle to arrive at my gun dealer, and figure, spending about 1k Canadian $ for the scope I wouldn't mind to add another $100 or so for the RainCote if it really does rain / fog job well. Otherwise I would rather go with Butler Creek covers to just protect the lenses.

Any experience, input regarding this kit would be greatly appreciated.

The Raincote kits work as advertised. The scopes shed water more easily with them than without them. Many people feel they need this feature. I'm not one of them, but it doesn't hurt anything. It does nothing for fogging. You also trap air with moisture in it when you install the caps, so if you fog you'll have to remove the caps to wipe. You can still use Butler Creek covers with the Raincote kits installed.

Thanks Steven, I have lost good elk up in Northern BC on Fort Nelson River due to my mistake(s) and fogging was a prt of it as well, so I became a bit sensitive about fogging issue,
So I was considering a bushnell rainguard, but eye relif for 300 win mag is .... well, I've been though that few years ago when I switched to that kickier as my primary hunting tool. so I guess I 'll pass on the raincote and be more carefull instead ( I already have)
Thanka again
