Hi

The BSA Sweet 17 series, http://www.opticsplanet.net/bsa-sweet17-riflescope-3-12x40.html has been extremely popular for the 17HMR since it is actually calibrated for the 17 and it also sells at a price in keeping with many of the 17HMR rifles being sold today. As the popularity of the 17HMR continues to grow, we will surely see more scopes targeted for this series.

I have to disagree here. BSA make one of the most pitiful products on the market. Scope selection really boils to what is your intended use, and how much do you want to spend?

I do believe the low price claim.

Hi Ranburr

As always, you don't spare the words. You do keep things interesting, though, and this forum wouldn't be the same without you. I appreciate your comments.

Okay, the BSA is not a high end product, but based on the number of Sweet 17 models we get back (very low or I'd say otherwise), I do think it is a viable option for someone who does not want to spend as much on a scope as their 17 rifle and since a 17's recoil isn't going to shake too many scopes apart, it's a reasonably safe choice in an economy scope. Don'y worry, when Zeiss and Swarovski make a 17 model, I'll recommend them, too.

Have a nice holiday.
