Ray ban wayfarer Size?

i've been wanting to get a pair of wayfarers for a while now. I've considered buying online, but the thing with that is i'm not sure how they'll fit and etc so i definitely need some help choosing.

the glasses i wear on a regular basis are RB 508something the last number has faded, but it seems to be a 7. anyway, it has 53-16-140 on the sides, but they fit a little loose[probably having them for a while and the screws getting loose], if that helps at all in suggesting which wayfarer size/style would be best for me.

Thanks for posting. Start with the Ray-Ban New Wayfarer Sunglasses RB2132. They offer a 52mm size. If that's still too big go for the Ray-Ban Original Wayfarer Sunglasses RB2140 in 50mm.

I recently tried on the RB2132L (/w american flag on side) and it was very slightly too narrow for my face at a local sunglass shop. I don't know if this is the older/newer version.. Is there a wayfarer frame that is slightly wider than the RB2132L? The lenses on the RB2140 slant forward and don't fit my face too well. I appreciate any help/suggestions!

Thank you for the post. It appears to be a limited edition discontinued version. The RB2132 is offered in the 52mm and the 55mm. Try to find the 55mm to try on.

i want to buy a frame for my prescription eyesglasses and ive been looking at the RB5121 my size is 56-19-140, i want the frame in white like the RB2140-06. do they sell those or would i have to special order and where can i do that? thank you

Ray-Ban Junior wayfarer are the smallest wayfarers. The lens diameter is 47 mm

What is the difference between Ray-ban RJ9035S and RJ9052S ?

The Ray-Ban Junior Wayfarer Sunglasses RJ9035S is a smaller version available in a 44mm. The Ray-Ban Junior RJ9052S Sunglasses are a bit larger offering a 47mm size. This model offers a few more fun color options as well.

And secondly, if I want to get the darkest looking* lens on the Wayfarer, should I opt for a G-15XLT or a Grey lens?

And thirdly, if I want to get a mirror shine lens on the Wayfarer (like it is on the Clubmaster), should I opt for a G-15XLT or a Grey lens?

* by darkest looking, I mean, the blackest lens option available when others see the lens on my face. I understand that if on the other hand, I want to have the darkest view, I should get the polarized option.

901 satin black and 901S is matte black. Black can come in 3 different options: Satin, Glossy and Matte which is dull finish.

Green G-15 (G-15XLT) and Grey lenses offer the same light transmission. Therefore they are considered the same darkness.

Each option has a flash mirror which adds a quick coating of reflection. However, this is not a solid mirror coating.

What is the model number of the RB 2140 with glossy black frame? That is, given 901 is Satin Black and 901S is Matte Black.

How does one identify which models have the flash mirror coating and which models do not?

The 901S is actually no longer offered in their current selection of the Ray-Ban Original Wayfarer Sunglasses RB2140. All of them are glossy at this time. Flash mirror coating is on most models from Ray-Ban unless they mention mirror coating specifically then it would be solid.

Ok I tried the RJ9052S 47mm, and they are too small. I also tried the RB2132 52mm, but they are a little big. Is there any model that has a size in between those two?

Please try the Ray-Ban Original Wayfarer Sunglasses RB2140 in 50mm. When Goldilocks tried the third porridge she found that it was just right.
