Ray ban wayfarer Size?

Hi, so I am looking into getting a Wayfarer but the choices are quickly becoming overwhelming! There are so many models and sizes!

I have a very narrow face, so could someone point me to the absolute smallest wayfarers with the least "total width"..and just in case that is too small, the second smallest wayfarer as well haha.

Thanks for the post. I came up with a little key:

The Larger Wayfarer: Ray Ban RB2140: 54mm lens size
The Medium Wayfarer: Ray Ban RB2140: 50mm lens size
The Smaller Wayfarer: Ray Ban RB2132: 52mm lens size

I've been reading through the thread and I was wondering about the arm to arm length of the large 54mm 2140s which are supposed to be a slightly bigger fit?

Thanks for the post. I would recommend that you try both of them on. But the 54mm might work better. You never know until you try!

If you are trying to base fit by the millimeter measurements try adding the 54=54=18. That's the horizontal width of both lenses added to the distance between the lenses. This equals 126mm. However the best way to determine fit is to try them on and experience the Ray-Ban Original Wayfarer Sunglasses RB2140. I love that frame.

Hi Larum thanks for the reply! I wanted to calculate arm to arm length because I was trying to get a different comparison between the 2132 and the 2140 larger sizes. Just base fitting, the 2132 would be 55+55+18=128mm while the 2140s would be 54+54+18=126mm (I hope I have my specifications right) which would indicate that the 2132 was the larger of the 2 pair of sunnies.. But the fit for the 2140 is supposed to be bigger? I really wouldn't mind a smaller diameter of lens around my eyes but if I cant get the frame comfortably on in the first place.. you get what I mean? =(

I'd love to try both the pairs but I'm stationed overseas and they don't carry the larger sizes here. Hope you can help!

I understand your plight. Try not to look at the Ray-Ban Original Wayfarer Sunglasses RB2140 as the bigger of the two models. It offers a 50 and a 54. The Ray-Ban New Wayfarer Sunglasses RB2132 offers a 52 and 55, so technically they would be larger if going by lens size. The only Wayfarer I am able to wear is the RB4165. It's the only one I can get to fit my big head.

You may want to seriously consider placing an order for multiple sizes and models that try them all on. We shipping overseas. You would have 30 days from delivery to return the unwanted pairs back for refund. This might be your only option.

Hello! So I have decided to buy the Junior Wayfarers because my face is really small, except I can't try them on because stores near me do not carry them. However, I do know that the dimensions for them should be the correct size because I compared them to my old prescription glasses. Unfortunately, all the sizes match up except for the temple. The temple on my old glasses are 130 mm, but on Ray ban junior sunglasses, it is 125mm, which could possibly be too small.

So I was wondering if it is at all possible to switch the temples for another size? or should a 125mm be fine considers 130mm fits?

Ray-Ban wouldn't be able to offer another temple arm but you are welcome to try it at home or take them to a local optical shop. Please keep in mind that this alteration would void your warranty.

The 54mm lens size offers the longest temple arms of 150mm. This is the longest that's available. You are welcome to contact Luxottica the manufacture at 800-343-5594. they may be able to assist you.
