Congrats on your first Ray-Ban sunglasses!

I want to let you know that the Ray-Ban logo should also be on the right lens at the top. Most manufacturers like Ray-Ban have warehouses all over the world that make their sunglasses and eyeglasses so it is a possibility that you received one from one of their locations in China, which does not make them any less authentic. The Ray-Ban Sunglasses RB3379 is known as more of a sport type of eyewear and is not considered too much of the aviator family.

Hopefully this helped you and you enjoy your new sunglasses.

Ray Ban Aviator

Postby aRVeeJr on Mon Jan 31, 2011 2:15 am

Hi There!

I bought a Rayban Aviator and I only have one concern, It really looks nice and have all the markings of an authentic Ray Ban Aviator but the BL Logo seems not etched... I tried to feel it and it looks like it is painted but the quality of the paint looks good. It has BL markings on both sides and a Logo of "Ray Ban" on the right side (when you're wearing it). Is it Authentic? Please advice, thanks!

Thanks for the post. Ray-Ban at one time was owned by Bausch & Lomb. They used to inscribe the "BL" on their lenses to declare authenticity. Now Ray-Ban is owned and manufactured by an Italian company named Luxottica. I would say you have the real deal!

1)are this models still available in market after the company has changed its owner from BL to another
because i am getting the model of said BL but after 10 years how these models can be still available???

plase can any one answer it

The number one reason I see vintage models popping up in the market is because the original owners take care of their investments (sunglasses) then decide to sell them. Believe it or not, it happens quite a bit.

Hello!
I just bought a pair of RayBan polarized sunglasses from sunglass hut. On the inside of the left rim it says "RB3362 COCKPIT 004/58 59[]14 3P", and on the inside of the right rim it says "RayBan T CE POLARIZED MADE IN CHINA". The left lens has RB engraved and on the right lens it says RayBan P. I got a leather case, cleaning cloth with RayBan logo, and some handbooks. I'm assuming that if I got them from Sunglass hut they should be authentic, right? the lenses are amazing and they are very comfortable but I am concerned about the "MADE IN CHINA".... are they real or fake? I paid $200 for them. :?

I've got a pair of 4068 ray bans, but the case has nothing written on the button and also I've found a "case made in china" sign on the inside. The glasses themselves look fine, but now I'm not sure about them being authentic. Clear my doubts, please

Hello,

The information that you provided which is printed on both temple arms is identical to most of Ray-Ban's authentic products. I wouldn't worry if I were you.

Hello,

Thank you for the post. The case isn't always a good way to determine authenticity. The button may not always have the Ray-Ban logo but there should be a "stamp" with a trademark declaring the item in the case is genuine. Ray-Ban's cases are made all over the world so a case made in China is no cause for alarm. You may want to talk with the retailer you bought them from. They may be able to help you or even exchange the case.

I hope this helps.

Hello Milkyway,

I spoke to Ray-Ban about the Ray-Ban Sunglasses RB3384. They informed me that they do not etch the RB on every model. But the white Ray-Ban logo must be present. From what I gathered you have the real deal.

Please let us know if we can assist you further.

Hi

Got today via ebay deal RB3016, black, with "Made in China" on right arm.

Everything looks pretty as original one, but:
- nose temple - has printed and not engraved size
- RB on left lance curved from inside the lense and not from outside as other RB3016 I have seen
- Cloth - comes sealed with paperworks, its glance and light paper.

The worries are:

- etched RB logo
- nose temple size is printed and not curved/engraved
- Right arm logo and "made in china" looks doggy to me...a bit smashed too and deformated (especially Rayban logo)

Your opinions?

Thanks

V

Thank you for the post. Ray-Ban Clubmaster Sunglasses RB3016 are produced in both Italy and China. The Chinese factories are still owned and operated by Luxottica with the same quality and they meet all the Ray-Ban standards. Therefore country of production is no good indicator of authenticity.

The etched logo should be present, you are correct. The inside or outside can depend on the individual model. The size of the frame along with model numbers are always printed on the inside of the temple arm.

I think you have the real deal.

Happy!

Determining Ray Ban model

Postby Drizzle15 on Sun Jun 03, 2012 5:46 pm

My dad recently gave me his old ray ban wayfarers, and I am looking to get new lenses to replace his prescription lenses. The glasses say B&L Ray-Ban U.S.A on the right temple. On the left ear piece it says A5631 NXAS. I couldn't find the RB#### that denotes the model, so I was wanting to determine if the glasses are in fact legit, and if so, what model they are.
Thank you

Hello and thank you for the post.

We can certainly install prescription lenses that will match the color, material and technology of the Ray-Ban lenses. You can contact me directly for a quote at 1-800-504-5897 ext 320. Maybe you could also submit a photo of the model and we can judge whether they are authentic.

I look forward to hearing from you.
