Cary Grant Sunglasses "north by northwest"

hi everyone!
i'm vittorio from italy...
i have a great question....what model are the north by northwest sunglasses weared by Cary Grant?

i'm sure they are persol,but i don't know the model(i don't think are the classic 649)

Great movie and Cary Grant is a cultural icon. I think the glasses he is wearing are the Ray-Ban Original Wayfarer Eyeglass Frames RX5121. That style has been around since 1952 and is still as cool as ever. The color of the frames are Yellow Havana. I think it's a pretty close match. You can order them with dark lenses just like Cary's.

sorry larumd,but they are persol for sure...the have the classic persol "arrow" in the front,right and left side,while the wayfarer has the "olive"

Not parasols (i dont see the arrow). Not wayfarers. Ray ban "dallas" model. Tough to find. Vintage. Don't make em anymore.

it's quite impossible to find the model...
in some images taken from the dvd,they seems persol....

and i find that grace kelly had a pair that was quite the same of the ones cary wears in nbnw

anyway....do you have an image of the dallas model?

i see the dallas....they're not the sunglasses of the movie...

I know that might sound frustrating. Sunglasses and even eyeglasses are like fashion and change constantly. Sometimes they do discontinue them and they are impossible to find.

But, I do agree with larumd, the Ray-Ban Original Wayfarer Eyeglass Frames RX5121 is a great match that has the same features as the one Cary Grant wore in the movie.

They are not the persol. The persol 649 though similar has a distinctive pinching in that fram that curls behind the ear. The Wayfarer Dallas like the wayfarer original have a very iconic thick streamline. Carys are indeed the Wayfarer Dallas.

I think that is a great match for these eyeglasses that were hard to find!
