Oversized VERSACE sunglasses

Postby Raafo on Sat May 28, 2011 3:02 am

Hey, everybody. My VERSACE sunglasses were stolen from my car 2 months ago. Ever since, I've been gone to numerous sunglasses stores to find a replacement, but I've not found anything that matches my face. I've actually purchased 2 pairs of sunglasses and returned both since they just didn't look good on me.
I had purchased my VERSACE sunglasses from Austria. Unfortunately I can't remember the 4 digits after the VE. I've been searching for it on google/google shopping and other websites that have Versaces, but to no avail. I just can't find it. I hope one of you can recognize it and hopefully give me the model number. I'd really appreciate any clues.

Raafo-I can see why you liked them so much, they look like a great pair of sunglasses!

I hate to say this, but it could be the model is discontinued, that is why you are having a hard time finding them. Versace changes their collection after almost every season, so it is hard to find models from 2 years ago that are still around. You might like these models of Versace though. Take a look at the Versace Sunglasses VE4179 and the Versace VE4202 Sunglasses. Hopefully these are something you will like :)

Hi, Dannyv. Thank you very much for the response and the suggestions. Actually I found the model number by extensive searching. It is VE 2057 (http://www.nyciwear.com/product/VE2057100987/VERSACE-Sunglasses-VE-2057-100987.html). As you correctly pointed out, they are discontinued. However, a lot of websites still have them. I have visited numerous sunglasses stores in Los Angeles, and you won't believe me, almost none fits my face because of the wide shape of my head and cheeks. So, I will have to go with VE 2057 again.
Some of the websites that have them are: sunglassesline.com, nyciwear.com, glamouristic.com, agoodlookonline.com, eyeglasses.com, eyewearexpress.com.
Do you have any experience with any of them or have you heard about any of them? I'd like to buy from a reliable seller. Most of the sellers I listed above have contact numbers in the USA. I ignored the ones that didn't have a contact number and were probably located in China, in the fear of the sunglasses being not authentic.
A very strange thing is that my sunglasses had gradient lenses, while all the ones that I find online have plain lenses. I really wonder whether either that or these were non-authentic. :(
