Anyone know hopw these lenses stack up against my other "MORE KNOWN" suglasses. I have Costa del mar, Ray Bans, Oakley and Maui Jims. How does the Persol lenses stack up against these or did i just pay for the name and the high quality frames????
Thank you for the post. Persol Eyewear has been designing effective, comfortable pairs of sunglasses and eyeglasses since 1910, so they're an optics company you can trust. Almost all sunglasses by Persol feature crystal (glass) lenses, which are proven to reduce UV rays and provide maximum clarity, even when the sun is at its brightest. Polarized lenses are also a common feature of Persol Sunglasses, eliminating different types of glare that can occur in different environments. Now Persol is manufactured by Luxottica the same company that brings you Ray-Ban and most designer brands in the market today. Every manufacturer boasts superior optics. It's all about the brand you are wearing and how the lenses feel while wearing them. I own at least 9 pairs of sunglasses and I love them each. I have one brand in a different color and style. Some with AR coating and some that have mirror coating. Some that wrap and some that don't. I really think they are all great that's why I bought them. I am a snob about one thing only; They all must be polarized.
So what do you think about your new Persols?

The quality of the frames compared to others is what got me hooked.
The lenses are glass and seem to be better than other high end sunglasses. But I can't find ratings on their lenses , so i have to go by the brands I have that I compared.
Costa del mar
I like the costa del mars lenses the most.
