American Optical Pilot True Color Gray vs Color Correct Gray

Postby skanktrain on Wed Nov 28, 2012 12:23 am

Hello,

I was wondering what the differences were between the True Color Gray lenses and the Color Corrected Gray lenses on the American Optical Original Pilot sunglasses. Also, does ordering a polarized version of the lens affect the tint/color at all? Thanks!

Hello,

Great question! True Color is Gray Glass and Color Correct is Gray Polycarbonate. The addition of the polarizing filter will darken the lenses to a light transmission of 8%.

I hope this helps.
