Choosing the right Wayfarers for me and possibly Aviators

Postby onewinged37 on Sun Jun 09, 2013 7:41 am

Hey guys I need your help with something. I currently have two pairs of Folding Wayfarers, one in Black and one in Brown, both polarized. They are both measured at 50/22 and I feel like the lenses are too big for my face. is 50 mm a big size? And I'd also like to try aviators but my face is more oblong shaped so I'm worried about them. What should I do? Thanks!

Also: Why do Raybans show your eyes? I always wondered that because my two folding pairs show my eyes and it bothers me.

Thank you for posting. 50mm is considered small to medium. If you are considering an aviator try the Ray-Ban Aviator Small Metal Sunglasses RB3044. for a smaller wayfafer try the Ray-Ban Junior Wayfarer Sunglasses RJ9035S for Kids.

The best thing to do is go to a sunglasses retailer and take some time to try several styles on. Oblong face shapes tend to look better with long vertical lens shapes. Give it a shot.

As far as the lens tints; sometimes if the lighting is at a certain angle people can see your eyes. You might want a lens with miror coating to prevent that.
