It is not easy to give a piece of advice on sunglasses, but we try anyway ;-)

Kandi at OPLA said they are due in this coming week...
I don't believe it at all that they 'found' any pairs. There are clearly delays in production hence the delay in getting them to retail.
I'm in no rush but it would be nice to have a definite eta.

the t-shirt is women's but use some initiative and buy 2 and then remove the seams (pay someone to do it) and get your own custom fitted tyler durden tshirt made with the material

let me know what you think? I am gonna do it anyway and see how it goes ...

Just purchased 2 size XL's. I will have the material made into a custom fitted shirt for myself and have the white neckline replaced with an aqua blue one to replicate the fight club shirt. This will be another nice addition to the collection. -Douglas.

Nice one Douglas. Good idea mate to get the neckline replaced as well. I have ordered 1 so far and am going to lengthen the sleeves by unpicking the seams and then getting it tailored. But think I will dye the white collar aqua blue. It still won't be the same as the fight club one but it will be as close as anything i have seen and I've been on the lookout like everyone else for ages.

The original t-shirt was made by Fruit of the Loom I *think* but don't hold me to that. There was a brown version of it on ebay for sale a couple of years ago but I haven't seen anything since. It was the exact same as the Fight Club but just not blue. That's how I know it's Fruit of the Loom - as it was pictured on the inside of the collar/neckline.

Post pics when you get it done man. Should be sick.

Hey Gotham

Awesome news that you will be getting your OP-523 frame so soon. I am living in the UK and so they are being shipped over, which will take at least a couple of weeks .... but that is ok. As long as they are all paid for and on their way then I can rest easy lol

I see they are now on the website though :-)))

I should take a screenshot as they won't be up there for long.

Only 75 pairs of each - hardly any really. They're gonna be in demand again soon for sure. Glad we have ours secured.

I got my op 523's in the mail this wednesday. I want to thank everyone on this forum for having the persistance to make oliver peoples realize that they need to bring the shades out of retirement.

As a special thanks, here are a set of high-res images i took of my 523s, comparing them to the paper street shades. I know many were curios to see how to pss stack up to the real things (including me)...so here you have it:

Hey all,

I just got a pair of op 523's (Blood Red) in the mail. They're really fun to wear, but the red gives me a headache pretty quickly. Is this common, or is there a way to get past that? I'm thinking maybe my eyes just need to get used to them, but I'm not sure. I realize red tinted lenses are harder on your eyes anyway, but I'm surprised I get a headache from it. Just curios if anyone else has run into this and has a solution.

Thanks!

I believe red lenses have the opposite effect. Red lenses can be worn indoors, in low light situation. Its a long shot, but i assume that this is why tyler durden wears them in the night. Red lense sunglasses only change the tinting of the lense and provide no additional benefit. Some people prefer the red tint as it can be relaxing on the eyes rather than a dark tint, and allows them to see certain colors more than others. There are various tints to choose from so the idea is to try them all out and see which you prefer the most.

Red lense sunglasses can be custom made but not at a cheap price. You can spend up to forty dollars to have two lenses tinted with red coloring so this is typically only done with higher end sunglasses. Red lense sunglasses are typically used by hunters or people who spend time in forested areas or by people who are at the lake. This is because they provide an excellent contrast against blue and green backgrounds, allowing the other colors to stand out so that you can view things easier. This is where you will find red lense sunglasses the most useful.
