It's will be interesting to have the EXACT frame and the exact gothic roses color: All official.

Hello, which website or email have you for see and order ? We are all interested I think here..
For the price, like daywalkerxian said, it should be in fonction of the acurate degree. More the texture and design are close than the official more you can up the price. Maybe between 50 to 100$ if you want sell a lot. For the Hustler shirt, you can maybe contact hustler and have the official shirt for a colaboration with them.

The coral OP-523 that I got in 2001 were from OP. I told them I wanted the closest thing to red like the movie. I hadnt heard of gothic rose at that time. I ordered them through OP Corporate who shipped them to a local retailer. They were beautiful man. Shiny frame like the older ones. I too noticed that the 09 rerelease had a dull matte finish. I thought it was the same as the old one but now I dont think so. I do believe my 01 were shiny. And the coral was great. see page 30

Thanks man,

I had seen that picture a while back and I loved the color... possibly more than the "gothic rose" color. I am hoping to have op make me a set of lenses in that color sometime soon.

Did Oliver Peoples say that the frame on this final re-release is gonna be different from the earlier 2009 re-release? The message didn't say that. Neither did it say that the lenses were gonna be any different from their "Blood Red."

Personally, I would also love a shirt like the one that said "Sock It To Me" on it. I've shirts with the "Sock It To Me" screenprint on them, but none of them looked like the one from the film. The one from the film looked like a mix of a t-shirt and a sweatshirt, because it had elastic on the bottom hem of the body of the shirt and around the bottom of the sleeves.

It's official, and you can check it out on their Facebook page. They announced it on Sept. 4, and they said they have 200 pairs that they didn't know were in an international warehouse. Sounds fishy to me...I think they aren't selling too many frames with the bad economy, or at least not as many as they used too. So, when the OP-523 sold out in a flash, they figured why not make more and rake in the profits. But of course they had to say that they "found" 200 extra pairs, because their frames were never mass-produced. They were always unique, exclusive, and limited in quantity. Seriously, if their story is actually true, then whoever is in charge of their inventory should be fired. Not to mention, whoever is in charge of production could bankrupt the company by "accidentally" producing over twice as many frames as they were supposed to and then losing them.

I was shocked they were re-releasing them again. However, what Oliver Peoples needs to do is re-release the frame in alloyed metal, not titanium, with actual gothic rose lenses. What people really want are the glasses from the film, not glasses with frames that aren't as shiny as in the film and lenses that are too dark and opaque.

danboy wrote:i think id be interested in the hustler. SO R.P., get this. I sold a very good two for one deal on ebay for just $88. My BUrberry 8933S and my Diesel Cobretti. This joker waits about 20 days and brings up a claim against me with paypal saying that I sold him cheap immitations. I am disputing the claim, not because of the $ 88, but because this ass left feedback saying that i sold him counterfeit frames. If he wouldve done his homework he wouldve known that both frames were essentially not that good of quality anyhow. Also, anyone who knows anything about frames and sunglasses, knows that no one goes through the trouble of identically replicating a frame with labels and brand names on them to make $88. He said that the cobretti's lenses popped off, which is a problem that is mentioned on celebrity sunglasses finder.. So now I know this guy is just unhappy and wants to stiff me. Both frames were in excellent near mint condition and were shipped in their carrying case. I think the idiot is confused by the fact that the diesel conbretti shows 550 dsl on the lense and brad pitt's didnt have that in the movie.

THE guy is just a huge sap.In my ebay history I have sold two pairs of OP-523, a very rare authentic CAZAL 735, and an authentic TART ARNEL AMBER 48/22. All those transactions were over $300, and two of the were over $450.

He thinks im going to sell cheap immitations to make $88.

Hey Dan. Im sorry to hear about the ebay debacle. Its getting pretty crazy out there, a lot a-holes man. Btw, My cobretti's lens kept popping out when i had mine, good thing i didnt actually sell it on ebay, im sure someone would have claimed FAKE on me too! Yeah, Im gonna spend hundreds of dollars to faithfully recreate a frame that costs like a $150 new. Btw, this whole re-release thing is pissing me off. So much for rarity and collectibility with anything anymore. A rare comic book in the old days winds up being worth tons because it's never re-released, and therefore becomes something special and worth having. Now, rare comic in demand, or book or CD or movie, or whatever gets a second printing, a second release, a third, foruth, 35th edition! LOL!
tha hell?? Im glad we had a second chance at the OP-523. But c'mon! Part of the fun is having something RARE, UNIQUE and SPECIAL! Its like, I see $$$ signs , lets do it! Why not? Lets ruin all unique things, now OP is gonan re-release the Burn Notice Victory frames! Im glad for a long time I thought I had something special and something desired. Well, thats all gone now. Sigh. So OP you want miraculousy find lost pairs from the re-release, Day you're right, then why not miraculousy find the ACTUAL MOVIE PAIR for the LAST..FINAL.. release for the anniversary of the movie! Then it seperates all 3 releases as something different and unique and of value. And you finally give the fans , who are the primary buyers of the frames, what they really want and have been asking repeatedly for! :|

Anyway. rant aside. So Dan, now your Pushers huh? Saving up for something big?
How did the Arnels come out? you go with a 44 after all?

Yeah man.. I would be interested in all three. You could sell them on ebay or create an internet site and make a killing. Sell them around $45/shirt and action them on ebay. You should be able to make a profit off that. Email me at Jeermann@aol.com when you get them done and send me some photos

Hey peeps

I read all the forum posts being a big fan of the OP 523 glasses.

I read about www.rarevintagesunglasses.com

What was the verdict on them, i.e. are they legit?

They are asking $1200 for the glasses but can't say which store they came from.

Also, are the OP 523ti model just the OP 523 in titanium?

Any help would be awesome.

Thanks.

guys i own a pair of these, I bought them from Japan for 33,600 yen or almost $400 dollars, no one that bought these commented or described the glasses themselves, this frame is pretty big and won't look good on anyone, before you go blow away a 1000 dollars on a pair online keep this in mind, they are too BIG! don't forget that

the frame is also pretty light, and if you want to order the gothic red lenses separately they will set you back a 100 dollars thats a lot of money for lenses
