my camera opens up then then shuts saying I have a deleted battery
only the batttery is new? I have tried to open the shutters several times
but it shuts quickly

Hi

Check the connections on the battery and the battery contacts to be sure they are clean and try again. If the problem persists, contact Pentax at 1-800-877-0155.
