Hi scope Guru
can you tell me what power spotting scope and a ball park price for something so I can see 22 cal and 30 cal holes at 500 yards ?

We also get a bit of heat shimmer here in Australia.

Hi

Most days you will never see holes at that distance because of atmospheric conditions, but on those days when the atmosphere is cooperating, only premium scopes have the necessary optics. Prices satrt at at about $1400 for the Nikon Fieldscope 82ED. Cheaper scopes do not have the necessary optical quality.
