Speedster II vs Velocity

Postby Guest on Fri Jun 06, 2008 10:42 am

I see old threads comparing these two. Are these still nearly identical products? Any reason (other than cost) to buy one vs the other? Thanks!

Hi,

The original Bushnell Velocity only measured MPH and not KPH. It was older technology with an out of date circuit board. The Speedster II was created as an exclusive to Optics Planet. This could now measure both MPH and KPH, had much more efficient circuitry (better battery life) and a much tougher plastic shell. After the success of this new model, Bushnell decided to upgrade the Velocity to the same specs. So, long story made short, there is no longer any difference between the two radar guns besides the name.
Best regards,

Ryan W.

Thanks Ryan. You should just save that text and copy/paste when idiots like me ask it over and over! :)

If the two guns as you indicated are the same, why is there a difference in the price.
