I recently purchased a Nikon Monarch 6.5-20x44 and find that it doesnt focus down to 50 feet. So I'm in the market for a decent replacement that will allow me to shoot smallbore at 50 feet but also outdoors to 100 - 250 yards. At this point price is a factor (less than $300) and I'm looking at the Swift 6.5-20x44 with target turrets. Any other suggestions out there?

Thanks

Hi

The Swift is a decent scope for the money and it has an AO that will focus down to 10 yards, but it is no Monarch. If you are trying to squeeze in under $250 for a target scope, though, it is a good choice. It is built heavy enough to be air gun rated.

For what you paid for the Monarch, though, I'd consider the Bushnell Elite 4200 6-24x40, http://www.opticsplanet.net/bushnell-6-24x40-elite.html It is an excellent scope that will focus down to 10 meters.
