about garmin 15L

hi im new here, so sorry if i post in the wrong section... i just bought a Garmin 15L GPS and tried it in the hyperterminal if its working but the output data seems kind of unreadable... here is a sample data that was capture in hyperterminal (shown below)... is this a garbage data or it just only in ASCII? how can i translate this? help someone? thanks...

The data is in RS232 format and you will need a program to read and capture this. You may need to contact Garmin for technical details about this.
