Which is a better Megellan or Garmin?

Which is a better unit? Megellan or Garmin? Whose maps are updated more often? Can the maps be updated on the magellan and the Garmin units/If so which models. I live inNC in the wilmington/Jacksonville area
where ther are alot of new streets. How do I find them?

In general, Garmin GPS is a more reliable product with better customer service.
Maps for Garmins are optional and are available from the Garmin website
