Is the ATN Professional 5x33L Illuminated Reticle Rifle Scope strictly electronic, or is it a standard black reticle with illumination so that you can see crosshairs if the battery fails?

You can still use the ATN Professional 5x33L Illuminated Reticle Rifle Scope, http://www.opticsplanet.net/amprof5xilre.html without the illumination.
