Great site, and great forum, I tried looking for the answer so i didnt have to add more to the forum... but I am wondering, if, when my telescope that I ordered from you gets here monday....... meade 130mm reflector w/ autostar
Im assuming it will need to be fully collimated? due to shipping and what not?
Ive been reading up on how to do it, ... its not completely clear yet.. but Ill manage im sure. lol, thank you in advance.
Can't give you an estimate on arrival, here, but any of our folks in Customer Service. 1-800-504-5897 can pull up an order and give you an update.
You should not have to collimate on arrival, unless the scope has suffered a lot of abuse in shipping. Collimation, though, is not a big deal. Just sounds scarier than it really is. Lots of websites out there will give you a good rundown on collimation. One of my favorites is the Sky&Telescope website article Tells you how to do a quick check to first see if your scope needs collimation.
Thanks for posting with us
