father and son hobby

Hi im looking at getting a refractor and there is a lot of them from $1,000 to $2,000 im not rich but would like to invest in my sons hobby the televue 85 the sv4 ed and the sv102 ed all good scopes but would like to get the best for the buck and for any one looking at this would you please tell me what you have in a refractor telescope and why you like it and how does it compare to the televue 85 thank you and have a nice day.

If you are simply looking for the best optics for the dollar, the Stellarvue is probably the best value. On the other hand, if you are looking for both the very best optics and the very best in terms of construction and build quality, go with the Televue.
