diagonal for Bushnell Northstar 5"

Postby Guest on Thu Mar 05, 2009 3:54 pm

can i attach the William Optics Telescope Dielectric 1.25" Star Mirror Diagonal to the Bushnell Northstar 5"? that is, will it attach directly or do i need to purchase other products to make the diagonal attach. also do you think it will make a difference to viewing quality over the erecting prism, included with the northstar, for terrestrial viewing? or is there something better.

thanks in advance!

Hi

You can use any 90 degree, 1.25" diagonal in the Northstar and, yes, it will be an improvement, though if you are using the Bushnell eyepieces, first oder of business should be to discard those and get better eyepieces. That will get you a much greater improvement in performance.
