which telescope is suitable for observing sun activity beside solars, nebulae and planets and the price range is within $1000? i was thinking about sticking to Meade 8in LX90-SC Telescope Schmidt-Cassegrain if there are less options for that price range (only if Meada works in that way). thank you very much

You can use any telescope IF AND ONLY IF you equip it with a properly fitting solar filter. The filter you pick should be an EXACT match for your model of telescope. Close does not count and is extremely dangerous. If the filter should fall of the scope while in use you instantly destroy your retina.

Meade does not make solar filters of any kind, but, if you shop around, you may find a third party manufaturer.

otherwise, a dedicated solar scope, like the Coronado PST is a great choice.
