The 90AT is the better choice for daytime work. It will provide upright images, but reversed right to left as delivered, but you can further correct that with the addition of an erecting prism, Meade #932
More importantly, it has an alt-az mount which is by far the better mount for day work than an equatorial mount, as provided on the XLT. Further, for astronomy use, the ETX-90 has a computer to help you locate objects. The XLT does not.
