I am willing to buy a telescope for planetry observation. My budget is roughly 500usd but i can add some extra bucks if it makes a big difference. I was focusing on celestron and Meade as both make good quality telescopes. Can you please guide which is the best telescope in given budget for this purpose. At the moment i am interested in Nexstar 5 or 6se and meade etx-90 but can go for others if they are better. Please guide which model will give max magnification for viewing planets so i should buy it from above or should go for other model?
Interestingly enough, your budget is right on the dividing line. Below $500, it makes little difference what model you select. Above $500 is where the products become better quality and more specialized. If your going to spend at least that much on a telescope, consider spending a bit more for something that will offer better performance for a longer period of time, like these Celestron 5SE or 6SE models.
Thank you very much for your advise i will certainly consider getting nexstar 6se, can you please advise as well which eyepieces and barlow's i should purchase with this telescope to get the highest possible magnification? And the binocular viewer will work with this telescope and is it useful?
