Greetings,

I am developing a program for students who visit a state park. They will collect plankton samples and then view them with a videomicroscope.
I am looking for recommendations on which brand/model I should purchase for the program.
Thank you,
Rebekah

Hi

We don't carry any video microscopes, but you can always attach a digital camcorder to a quality microscope such as the LOMO SF100T, for viewing algae specimens. The SF100T is a high quality stereoscope and will allow magnifications as high as 200x with the auxillary objective, check our accessories catalog.

To use a camcorder, you will need to select a camcorder with filter threads, then use the appropriate adapter. The adapter will run $200-225 depending on the model of camera selected. You will also need a camcorder with a video output to view images on a computer monitor. We don't carry digital camcorders, but these are a very popular product, so you should have no problem finding one.
