Which of these would be the best choice for viewing a yard. The surrounding area does have sodium lights and flood lights but there are many dark corners. Looking for human size intruders not animals.

Of those, we've tried #3, the NightOwl Explorer and we all gave it good marks for a Gen 1

Just how much resolution/visiblity do you give up by going to 5x magnification on a Gen 1?

Hi

Can't put a number on it, but you will ose some image quality as well as field of view. Don't think you gain enough with the extra 2x to be worth it.
