Kowa 771 vs. 661

Postby jburton on Mon Dec 29, 2008 1:35 pm

I was hoping someone could compare the 661 to the 771. This scope would be used in Highpower competitions out to 600 yds. I would have to be able to see bullet holes (.224) out to 200 yards (reduced course) and only spotters, scoring disks and reading the mirage out to 600. I was wondering what the performace difference was between the scopes. I was thinking of using the 25x ler eyepiece on either scope. thanks

Hi

All else equal, the larger scope - the 771- offers the most performance in terms of image brightness, resolution and ability to handle higher magnifications, well. You also have access to the new line of Kowa eyepieces as well as a dual focusing system. The 661 is a great scope, but the 770 and 880 series is the latest and greatest from Kowa
