Celestron Ultima 80 20-60X80 vs Bushnell Trophy 20-60X65
Any thoughts of which one of these would be better for target work at 200 yards plus using it for general viewing. Any pros or cons to either one? Is there a huge size/weight difference in real life, it's kind of hard to tell just by reading the specs. Are the optics better in one over the other?
I also might as well throw in the Celestron Ultima 100 22-66X100 and the Barska Gladiator 25-75x100 as a possibility. Any opinions on those???
Thank you!!!!

Hi
The Trophy and the Ultima will work at 200 yards, but you will need, as always, good atmospheric conditions. Only negative on the Trophy is the short eye relief, but if you don't wear glasses, no problems. A bit more eye relief on the Ultima 80 and, yes, it is a larger scope, physically.
I would NOT put any 100mm scope on a bench. Shooters tripods are, at best, adequate for an 80mm scope, but a poor choice for any 100mm scope. Rather than put the money into a 100m scope, buy a better quality smaller scope.

Hi
All else equal, and in this case optical quality is quite similar, the larger objective (the Ultima with 80mm) handles higher magnification better than a smaller objective (the Trphy 65mm), but keep in mind, that no spotting scope at these prices will be as sharp and clear at 20x as it is at 60x. For that kind of performance, you will need to pay much, much more in a spotting scope. quality is
