I currently have a Kowa TSN-602 camo with the Z9B variable eyepiece. I haven't really had a chance to put to its limits yet...meaning I haven't really tried it at high magnifications. From the little bit I have used it, I really like it. I'm just curious how it will fair compared to the Busnell HD model spotting scopes. Even though my Kowa is not HD, would it still score better because it has a better eyepiece and better glass? What about compared to the Bushnell Elite...would it beat out my Kowa because it is HD?
Also, I originally only wanted a 60mm objective lense because I thought the 80mm might be too big. But I could consider either one. I mainly just want to know about optics. Thanks.

Re: Kowa TSN-602 vs Bushnell Legend HD
I forgot to add that I live in Utah, where I hunt in the mountains, although much of it is open. Also, I may use it at a range for scoring targets.

Re: Kowa TSN-602 vs Bushnell Legend HD
I think the Elite would probably perform better than my Kowa twn-602. What about the new Legend Ultra HD. My Kowa with Z9B eyepiece cost a couple hundred more than the Bushnell Legend Ultra HD 80mm. Obviously, jumping up to an 80mm objective lense is going to give me better light transmission, but what about quality of the Legend HD optics compared to my standard glass Kowa?
I'm starting to think I want to move to an ED (or HD) glass, but I can't go much about the price of the Elite.

There's a review on this thread somewhere done lately by Joanie. From what I remember she wasn't too impressed with the Legend ED spotter. You can probably find it here if you search a little.
