Hi

The universal 6926, now #8344, allows you to mount any brand of SLR or DSLR with a short focal length lens or any brand of digital point and shoot like your Canon. This preserves all auto metering functions on the camera and gets you access to the most magnification, but it also produces the most vignetting - darkening and the edge of the field and will not produce as a good a quality pic, overall, as the FSA-l1.If you want one adapter that will work with both cameras or an adapter that gets you the most magnification, go with this one.

The FSA-L1, though, can ONLY be used with Nikon DSLRs like your D200. You can't even use it with other brands of DSLRs. It will rpoduce nice, full frame pics with flat fields, but magnification will be lower. If you are interested in getting the best quality pics with your D200, this is the one I would use.
