Burris - landmark or high country?

Postby marlinspike on Tue Sep 29, 2009 8:31 am

Ok, I saw the sale prices on the Burris spotting scopes and I'm thinking it's time I get a spotting scope. What will I lose (other than 10mm of objective) by getting the Burris high country 15-45x50 instead of the Landmark 15-45x60? The use will be seeing .223 holes at 100 yards.

Go with a 60. Even 100 yards is pushing it with a 50mm. A larger objective gets you better resolution and you'll need that for scoring

Which brings me to the question I should have asked in the first place - High Country 20-60x60 or Landmark 15-45x60?

Hi

Price is still the best indicator of quality. I would go with the Landmark if it is in your budget.
