Nikon Prostaff 16-48x65 mm rotating angled eye piece??

Postby Shazam on Mon Jan 18, 2010 6:47 pm

Hi Jodie:

I was wondering if the Nikon Prostaff Waterproof 16-48x65 mm has the rotating angled eye piece feature that a Kowa has?? I'm looking for a mid range $400 scope I can put into a high power spotting scope stand.. I know you like the Nikon Prostaff 16-48x65mm, Vortex Skyline 20-60x80mm, and Alpen 788 in terms of the best scope at $400.

Does the Vortex Skyline 20-60x80mm have the rotating angled eye piece feature?
I like that it has

I hope the Nikon has this feature because I also like the ability to get additional fixed wide angle eyepieces.

Thank you!!!

Hi

No, sorry, no rotating tripod collar on the Prostaff and that is what the feature is called if you are looking at the specs. Otherwise an excellent scope for the money.

Both the Skyline and the 788 have this feature, though

Hi Joanie:

Thanks for answering my question. I will most likely get the Alpen then.

P.S. Sorry for calling you Jodie. My bad.

Hi

I like the name, Jodie, so that's just fine. Now, if it had been Jim, that would be different. LOL No matter what you call me, though, you are very welcome
