Thanks, you are the first one to give me even a glimmer of hope. The problem is, or was, that I was using Champion VisiShot targets
, which show up a bright orange bullet hole on a black background. The Skyline was picking up reddish orange CA on the bold white lines that make up the center diamond/bullseye. I thought man, I'm doing great, but when I walked the 220 yards to retrieve my target
, I had mistaken the CA for bullet holes and hadn't done nearly as well as I thought I had.
I can't reduce the magnification too much because the scope is about maxed out at 220 yards as it is, and I have to remove my glasses
to get a full picture with any spotter. I will try less contrasty targets
and I'll reduce the magnification as much as possible, but I'm still trying to see .223 holes at 220 yards without glasses
, so we'll see.
