OLDER KOWA SPOTTING SCOPE

Postby gaucho9 on Mon Feb 01, 2010 9:04 pm

Several years ago, I bought a 60 mm Kowa spotting scope, model TS-611 (45 degree angle) which I matched to a Kowa eyepiece TS-610 series 20X60 Zoom (TS-601-602).
I have several questions:
Is it possible to buy or exchange this eyepiece (used only once) for a 20 non zoom? Is there any 60 mm protective (filter) lens for the objective?
Can I buy an extended eye relief eyepiece for this scope?
Thanks a lot.

Hi

You can use any of the Kowa 600 series eyepieces. Kowa dropped the 20x eyepiece, but you can still get the 25x LER and the current zoom.

Opticsplanet does not take trade-ins or deal in used equipment, but you may be able to sell your old eyepiece on E-bat and so on.

Thanks so much J. for your prompt response. I just saw advertised a TSE-21 WD and the add says it will fit the TSN 600 scopes series. Will this eyepiece fit my old TS-611?
In the advertised photo it looks different from the TE's you recommend...

You are very welcome

Yes, should fit - Kowa has changed the specs on this series of eyepieces over the last several years, as to the eyecups and so on, but that is a fine eyepiece.
