Postby Manu on Tue Feb 02, 2010 8:54 am

Please i want to know which is better, more clear : Brunton Eterna 20-45x62 Angled.
Nikon Prostaff 16-48x65 Angled.
Celestron Ultima 16-48x65 ED Angled.
Celestron Regal 16-48x65 F.ED Angled.

Could you order them of better to worse. Thank you for your answer. Sorry for my bad english.

Can't say anything about the Regal, but as far as the rest go, I would rank the Brunton first, the Nikon second, and the Ultima third. Not a surprise, since you get what you pay for.

However, I have read some very good things about the Regal line, and I would bet that the Regal would be the best of those four. It would certainly be the one that I would get out of those four....

Hi

Have tested them all. In terms of optics, I would also rate the new Regal at the top and it also gets you the advantage of being able to use standard telescope eyepieces. The Brunton Eterna, though, is very close and the build quality is better - it's the only Japanese scope on the list and, considering the price, probably the best value, overall.
