Major unsettling question - distressful!

Postby PuffinFinder on Sun Mar 07, 2010 11:42 am

How do you properly say the Japanese Optics Company “Kowa” phonetically?

This is important because I need to say properly what I purchase and not appear like I just came out of the Alabama woods, which I didn’t.

Any help from knowledgeable individuals would be appreciated.

If actually pay the price to buy a Kowa you have a right to say it any way you want, as far as I am concerned. I own a Kowa and usually say Kowa with the ow as "owe" and that is also the way I heard a Kowa rep say it. I have also heard a lot of folks say Kowa, with the first three letters pronounced as "cow". In other words, I have heard either version a lot, so don't sweat it.
