tripod/head question

Postby deltacornbread on Tue May 31, 2011 7:53 am

I will soon be the owner of a Theron Mag82 spotter. I am looking at the Manfrotto 055 tripod with a 128 fluid head. Can anyone give me some more options for a good tripod/head combo? At same price or less? Thanks in advance.

Hi

That's basically a standard for a good head and leg set for 80mm class spotting scopes and. for good reason. It will probably last as long as your scope. Sure, you can go cheaper, but you will take a hit for stability and durability. Spend the money on the 055/128 and you're done.
