I have a Digital Rebel XT with 58mm lens. My question is this. If I buy the Radian adapter and a 60mm spotting scope, do I remove the lens on my camera (auto focus) or does it stay on the camera? Will the auto focus on my lens still work and I have to choose what magnification on the spotting scope I want to use?
When using a digital SLR with any of these universal digital adapters, you leave the lens on the camera and take a picture of the image in the eyepiece. I would recommend manual focusing to avoid potential contact with the scope eyepiece.
