new scope decisions

I more or less decided on a [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/bushnell.html]bushnell[/link] 20-60x80 legend ultra hd scope for its ed glass and good low light capabilities. I really don't want to spend much over $400, and its use will mainly be birdwatching a tidewater meadow from my home deck. Weight and size are not critical. Since discovering this site I wonder if there are other choices in this price range that are notably superior which I may be overlooking. I want this to be a spotter I can live with, and probably do some digiscoping.

Hi

If you can squeeze it into the budget, the Celestron Regal 80F-ED does have noticeably better optics and a better zoom eyepiece. Well worth spending the extra to get it. Otherwise, the Legend is as good as it gets for the price.
