please help ,I broke the bank and ordered the best scope i could afford [link=]Nikon[/link] 25-75x82mm Straight Body ED w/Zoom Eyepiece w/ Full [link=]Nikon[/link] ,and i orderderd [link=]Nikon[/link] [link=]Spotting Scope[/link] Universal Digiscoping Bracket FSB-U1 8344 ,well i got the scope pretty quick but just received recently never took time to play with the combo untill today well it appears that it wont fit on my eye piece? surely something is wrong shouldnt it fit,Please let me know if this combo will not work together ,if not maybe [link=http://www.OpticsPlanet.Com]optic[/link] planet will exchange me for something that will work,

Sorry, Dan, for all the trouble.

That adapter only works with DS (digiscoping) series Fieldscope eyepieces. Those have a groove built into the eyepiece body that allows you to slip the adapter onto the body. Won't work with the non-DS series eyepieces and definitely not the zoom. As usual, Nikon is a bit less than clear on this. The info is buried down in the fine print. Nikon uses the word universal, here, rather liberally.

If you want to use that adapter, getting a DS series eyepiece IS a good move in terms of digiscoping, definitely better than using the zoom which will give you vignetting no matter what adapter you use. Going fixed power with a DS is the only way to go for digiscoping on a Fieldscope . Otherwise, just return that adapter and go with an aftermarket universal, such as the Alpen 706 or similar to use with the zoom.
