celestron ultima 80 vs. Regal 65
Am I going to see much of a difference between these two [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/leupold-brand.html]scopes[/link]? My use will be range work at 100 and 200 yards.

Re: celestron ultima 80 vs. Regal 65
Hi
Both will do the job out to 200 yards under decent atmospheric conditions, but you'll get better optics, overall, with the Regal, especially color correction and contrast via its ED element and the Regal also has a better zoom eyepiece, plus, should you want to use other eyepieces, the Regal gives you almost unlimited options, since it can use standard 1.25" telescope eyepieces. On the Ultima, you are stuck with the Ultima zoom.
