tripod/mount for Celestron C5

Postby Mike on Fri Apr 07, 2006 9:02 pm

I need advice on the best tripod/mount for a Celestron C5 used as a spotting scope. Stability is important as well as load capacity since the C5 weighs 6 lbs. Under $200.

Thanks

Mike

Hi

A basic Bogen, such as the 3180N, http://www.opticsplanet.com/bogen-manfr ... d-kit.html will do a good job. If you want some of the nicities such as lever locks, leg warmers and so on, try the 701RC2/055V, http://www.opticsplanet.com/bogen-view- ... -055v.html
