Leupold 20-60x80 SX1 Ventana Angled Spotting Scope

I probably should have asked first, but I just placed an order for a Leupold 20-60x80 SX1 Ventana Angled Spotting Scope and Leupold Compact Tripod. I've spent the last couple of days browsing forums and asking around, trying to figure out what would be the best value/performance for the money, but there's a massive range of choices, prices, and opinions as well. I need something that will be primarily used at the range, on a bench or table, spotting hits on reactive targets (Shoot-N-C), .22LR/.223 from 25-100 yards, .30-06/.308 up to 200 yards, maybe even 300. Is what I ordered good enough for these applications?

Will easily do the job out to 200 yards given decent seeing conditions, with or without the shoot and see, splatter type of targets. 300 yards typically calls for the resolution of a good ED scope to score traditional bullseye targets, though, but you may be able to use splatter targets at this range. Unless you plan to do the bulk of your shooting at 300 yards, though, you should be good to go.

The Leupold Compact tripod is more of a filed tripod than a shooter's tripod, but will work on the bench, too. r Well made tripod, not to be confused with the cheap plastic table top tripods other folks sell.
