At what price point are there diminisioning returns?
i've read here that the Celestron Ultima 80 is quite for for scopes up to $600.
I ask because I've been drooling at the thought of a Kowa 66. But a $580 body and a $385 eyepiece
is way more then I can afford. Plus, there are so many too choose from from so many quality manufacturers.

Hi

You begin to see excellent performance throughout the magnification range - that is no significant loss of image quality between 20x and 60x - somewhere between $800 to $1000. If you can squeeze the budget for the Kowa, you will never regret it.
