kowa tsn4 vs newer crop of kowa scopes

What's the difference between the older Kowa TSN-4 77mm and the newer Kowa scopes?
I'm thinking of upgrading to a neewer scope.

Hi

The newer models are waterproof, if that's important to you, but optically, your TSN4 is still an excellent scope and considering the price of a new 77mm or 88mm fluorite Kowa, you will spend a huge amount of money for not that much gain. What I would explore, though, is perhaps upgrading the eyepieces if you are still using old TSN4 series eyepieces. The new 600/660 series of eyepieces that you would use on that scope are a big improvement over the old eyepieces. I especially like the 20-60, TE-9Z zoom. That may provide all the upgrade you want at a much nicer price.
